Our Approach & Modalities

  • Integrative Therapy is an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client (psychologytoday.com).

  • Psychodynamic Therapy focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering. Its hallmarks are self-reflection and self-examination, and the use of the relationship between therapist and patient as a window into problematic relationship patterns in the patient’s life. Its goal is not only to alleviate the most obvious symptoms but to help people lead healthier lives (apa.org).

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic approach to psychotherapy rooted in attachment theory.

The EFT model prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions.

EFT helps you increase emotional awareness and change your emotional responses, making way for improved communication and stronger relationships.

Although EFT is best known as a couple intervention, it is also used to address individual depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress, and to repair family bonds (iceeft.com).

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness (apa.org).

CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way (mayoclinic.org).
