Navigating the Holidays: Therapeutic Support Group

  • Online New York, NY United States (map)

Week 5

Facilitated by Andi Sutherland-Johnson, LCSW

Navigating the Holidays is a clinician-facilitated, therapeutic support group designed for adults who experience increased stress, anxiety, or emotional intensity during the holiday season. While not a psychotherapy or process group, this offering provides a structured, skills-oriented space where participants can reflect on seasonal patterns, learn grounding and boundary-setting strategies, and develop a personalized plan for moving through the holidays with steadiness and care.

Over four weekly sessions, participants will engage in guided discussions, reflective exercises, and practical skill-building. An optional fifth session is available after the holidays for those who want space to debrief what arose, identify what supported or drained them, and set intentional, non-performative goals for the new year.

The group emphasizes psychological safety, shared understanding, and actionable, compassionate tools to help participants navigate the season with more clarity and ease.

This group is well-suited for:
Adults who notice anxiety, overwhelm, dread, or emotional complexity during the holiday season and want a structured, supportive environment focused on skills, reflection, and connection.

When: Saturdays, 9:30 – 10:45 AM, beginning December 6th, 2025

Where: Online (group members will receive their virtual meeting link via email)

Maximum Group Size: 8 participants
